Zenith watch company introduced its watches in a new light: as an ideal instrument for measuring time, writers, journalists, artists and other creative people who have dedicated their lives to finding answers to questions about the laws of life. To this end watch company sponsored events celebrating annual award by Norman Mailer.
In 2011 the prize was awarded to four talented people: writers Arundhati Roy and Elie Wiesel, writer and journalist Gay Taleze, as well as the world famous rocker Keith Richards. The winners were awarded the same wristwatch El Primero Chronomaster Open the brand Zenith.
The awards ceremony was held by Norman Mailer in New York. This is the third ceremony, which was organized by Norman Mailer Center & Writers Colony – a center established in memory of the legendary American writer. The purpose of Norman Mailer Center & Writers Colony is to support the writers captured the passion of the most important puzzles of his time, like Norman Mailer himself. The purpose of the center is also a desire to preserve the bold literature, which is a real voice of our time.
Every year on the awards ceremony by Norman Mailer collect more than 500 famous writers and artists, winners of the Pulitzer, Booker and Nobel prizes. Presented at the award ceremony watch is an updated version of chronometers, 1969. In this model, the dial opens the heart of the chronograph: the balance and escapement. Watch case is 45mm in diameter and made of steel and pink gold.
