The famous clock auction ANTIQUORUM in August 2011 appointed a new director in the person of Charles Tirley Asian department for supervision of offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo.
Taking into account the fact with some rapidly expanding Asian market, the board has decided to auction a new post to manage the affairs of the region. Charles will join a team of successful and talented professionals in Asia and will be based in Hong Kong.
Along with a new post he will continue to be responsible for the department in the Watch Department in New York.
Tirley Charles began his professional career at the age of 16 years in the Somlo Antiques, which is a prestigious magazine antique clock, located in London. In 2004 he became head of the wall and watch at Bonhams, Knights bridge and a year later he moved to California, where he opened the department watch auction house Bonhams & Butterfields.
Charles joined the ANTIQUORUM as a director and an expert on the clock in 2008 and the head office in New York in 2009. Charles Tirley has great creative potential. He is actively involved in the television series “The Antiques Road Show” and has a column for the quarterly magazine Elite Traveler.
He specializes in wristwatches in 1920 and 1970. But of particular interest to Charles Tirley shows models of companies Patek Philippe, Rolex watches and sports Cartier.
