New York June 15

The main interest of the first summer auction in New York represent the hours after the 250 th anniversary of Breguet – 1747-1997 Breguet 250th Anniversary. These supercomplex clocks were created by individual order in 1997. Model in a platinum 40-mm package has the following complications: minute repeater, tourbillon, perpetual calendar with retrograde date and “bouncing” the hour. As a result, trading their initial price of $ 200,000 increased to $ 417,500.

It is interesting that for exactly the same amount were acquired rare Patek Philippe Ref. 5013 1994 year. The model in pink gold case-tonneau (36 x 46 mm) was produced from 1992 and before the Sky Moon Tourbillon was considered the most difficult in the collections of Patek Philippe. An automatic minute repeater with perpetual calendar, moon phase indicator, retrograde date indicator, and a leap year.

Third place also remains a Patek Philippe, namely a yellow gold chronograph with perpetual calendar and moon phase indicator Ref. 2499. For the fourth (1960-1978 gg.) Series of these watches collector from the United States laid out 236,000 dollars.

A pleasant surprise for the organizers was a persistent struggle for Pour le Merite Tourbillon from A. Lange & Sohne. He was released in the early 90’s edition of 50 copies in a platinum package (38 mm). This is the only modern model with a module of constant force of fuzei and chains. Starting price $ 100 000 in the end grew to $ 203,000.

And, of course, as always in America was not without battle for the very popular overseas Rolex. As a result, the model for which the organizers did not get chayali and 4000 dollars, vigorously disagreed over $ 20,000 and above.

Excellent results of the last two sessions – a striking confirmation that Antiquorum has turned into the best and largest watch auction world – commented on the results of Geneva and New York, chairman and founder of Antiquorum Osvaldo Patrizzi. – And I am especially pleased with the great activity of buyers from countries such as China, Israel, Norway and Russia. Given that the first number of buyers from Eastern countries exceeded 25 percent, I’m looking forward to the July auction in Hong Kong. I feel no sensation there will not do.
